What is BioWise Living?
BioWise Living is a transformative approach rooted in the ethos and practice of Biomimicry. It is a journey of remembering and reawakening to our true nature; reconnecting with our planetary home; and rekindling our relationship with fellow Life on Earth.
BioWise Living guides us to see and apply Nature's patterns and strategies that we may re-establish a deep, meaningful relationship with Life on Earth and find our way back to belonging.

Meet Sue Swain
“I believe in the intrinsic value of all Life and that the future for us as a species lies in us redefining our role in the broader community of Life. I also hold the belief and hope that we can become a keystone regenerative species who contributes to the health and wellbeing of all Life on Earth by humbling learning from and emulating Nature’s evolved genius (i.e. the practice of biomimicry). The most important first step though, or so I believe, is for us to re-connect….re-connect with who we are, re-connect with our planetary home and re-connect with our other-than-human fellow beings”.
A qualified Nature Conservationist (NDip Nat. Cons), Sue’s particular interest has always been in environmental education. As a BiomimicrySA-certified educator, Sue has passionately presented, lectured, and offered workshops on biomimicry to more than 200 special interest groups, teachers, schools, tertiary institutes, businesses, all spheres of government, architects, engineers, and designers.
Most recently, Sue developed an online course, in partnership with The Expedition Project, themed around “Biomimicry as a Way of Being”. This course aims to make living in a relationship and in sync with Nature, a part of our daily lives.
